Holiday cottage - Finland

We took the boat to the island where the holiday cottage is with Anna-Maija and Risto also the two dogs. once we got there Steven helped Risto put a new vent in the wall.
We had a nice lunch and coffee then went for a walk around the island.
When it was time to head back home one of the dogs was missing so we had to leave her behind, someone will return tomorrow to pick her up.

We cruised past a few islands on the way back to port. We selected which ones we would like to buy for our holiday home. We can pick one up for about $60,000.

On the way back home we went past an old ski jump. It has fallen into disrepair. Risto used this ski jump when he was young, he was a bit sad to see it in such a state. There are various ski jumps around that are open to the public, free to use.

Home for another fabulous dinner and a chat.
Then someone said "lets go and see Pelle", so we did.
We arrived towards the end of the concert at 10.00pm and bought some beers. The band was great. From the early 1980's a Finish version of The Clash.
Lots of old punk rockers there.

A drive around to watch the sunset at 11.00 p.m, great reflections on the river.

We then went to a bar were they do Karaoke, not somewhere you normally find Steven, but he had to admit that it was rather fun. After a few Finish beers Risto got up and sang a couple of numbers, one of which was an Elvis Presley song, Love me tender. He did a wonderful version.
Steven then got up and did a fabulous version of a Verdi opera in three parts.
After his John Travolta dance moves..........

There are a lot of talented singers in Finland.

After a few more beers we headed home at 1.30am and the sun was rising.

Just joking about Steven singing, couldn't sing his way out of a wet paper bag.....But as an old Scout "He did do his best !!"
