Went for a walk to Buckingham Palace, dropped in on the Mews along the way. The place where they keep and train the Royal horses and also keep the coaches.
There were some expensive looking wheels.
A view down the Thames
Hired a couple of bikes and spent a leisurely couple of hours riding around Hyde Park.
We went to Kensington Palace on the bikes but the security guard told us he would confiscate the bikes if we left them on the property. So we didn't.
After the bike ride we went in search of Paddington Bear, found him at Paddington Station, a great building with some nice looking trains.
Paddington was sitting on his suitcase at platform 1.
Whilst we were in Paddington we thought we would have a look at St Marys Hospital, apart from being a great building it was where Alexander Fleming discovered Penicillin in 1928. He went on vacation and left his lunch on the bench, when he returned, penicillin, everywhere. Hopefully their health and safety standards have improved since then.
After Paddington and the pub opposite St Marys Hospital we headed off on the train to West End to watch a show, we managed to get a couple of tickets for a musical called 'Waitress'. It was very good. West End is busy, even on a Monday night.
We bought some Ale and returned to our hotel.
