Arrived at our hotel around 8.00am, settled in and then went for a walk.
We walked past the London Eye, wedged in between two buildings, no idea how they make it go round.
We then headed off to see Big Ben, but he had his pyjamas on so we couldn't see much.
The weather is cold and showery, otherwise, perfect.
We walked a lot today, saw the Tower bridge go up, twice. Visited a couple of churches and Cathedrals.
Tammy
found some Thames river bank to stand on. It's an offence to take
anything from the Bank of the Thames because of the city's two thousand
year history being buried there. So Steven had to leave her there.
That's St Pauls in the background.
Tammy in Southwark Cathedral
Not much sleep since Friday night so a cup of coffee or two or three to keep Tammy awake.
Some of London's fabulous buildings.
The
big one is known as 'the walkie talkie' the one on the left is the
'Cheesegrater' with the pointy bit of the 'Gurkin' between them.
We went to Pudding Lane where the fire of London started, Tammy pointed out the 'no smoking' sign nearby. Word association challenge - Horse - Door - Bolted.
